In Central Mexico, when a couple is about to be married, giant exagerated puppets of the bride and groom are erected and carried through the streets to announce the nuptuals. This series is a depiction of the type of characters you might see in this tradition. But with a twist. Does one not need to first be completely sick and crazy in love to consider signing a commitment for the rest of their life? As time goes by we become masks of what we once were. Where memories fade into oblivion, exagerated brushstrokes dramatize what we see and how we are seen.
